Aleksei Rumiantsev, a multidisciplinary artist from Russia, is now a digital nomad. His primary focus is on the theme of human transformation in the contemporary world, exploring the interaction of archaic adaptive patterns of human behavior with the information environment. This theme is reflected in two personal projects, numerous exhibitions, and the Biennale of contemporary art.
Until 2020, he experimented extensively with various media, combining assemblages and installations with new technologies. However, a severe eye injury brought him back to painting and drawing, which he had used at the beginning of his artistic career. The main emphasis in his works has shifted to raw emotions and the pain that a person experiences in the process of transformation.
